The first Stone of the building which is nowadays occupied by the “Ateneo Fuente” High School, was placed on April 25th, 1932 by Mr. General Manuel Pérez Treviño, accompanied by the Governor of the State Mr. Nazario S. Ortíz Garza.
The construction was designed following the ideas devised by the Governor of Coahuila himself. The engineer Zeferino Domínguez and Mr. Blas Cortinas were in charge of the construction. It was totally finished at the end of August in 1993 and it was inaugurated during the celebration of our national festivities, on September 15th of the same year.
