  • GENERAL INFORMATION

    The Language Centers of UAdeC offer face-to-face general English courses and courses of other languages. They promote the learning of the English language and culture among students from UA de C as well as among our professors and administrative workers from the schools and faculties of the university and the community in general.

    They offer French, German and Italian courses for adults as well as English courses for children (elementary school), teenagers (middle school) and adults (high school and above) in two modalities: weekday courses and Saturday courses.

    Among other services that the Language Centers offer, we can find: translations, TOEFL ITP examinations, Certification in Language Teaching Techniques and Spanish for foreigners.

    As part of the commitment that the University has with the community of Coahuila, the cost of the courses is very accessible without reducing their quality for this reason.

    To provide the community with one more tool, such as the learning of a second language, which can contribute to the personal and professional development of each individual.

  • VISION

    It will be integrated in one unit of complementary support for the comprehensive formation of the society of Coahuila, keeping the highest educational standards in terms of the promotion of language learning.

  • GENERAL OBJECTIVE

    To respond to the demand of learning English as a foreign language that the different sectors of our community have, through a diverse educational offer which satisfies both general and specific interests.

  • FINAL OBJECTIVE

    Students will develop basic abilities (oral and written reception, oral and written production and oral and written interaction) in order to achieve a satisfactory communicative competency in different taught languages and, with this, they will be able to interact in different personal, work, professional and academic scenarios.


DAILY COURSES

  • NEW STUDENTS (children and external)

    1. Go to the website www.siia.uadec.mx and click on “Languages” – “pre-registration”.
    2. Register with your personal information, then SAVE and WRITE the corresponding folio number.
    3. Go to the Language Center with your folio number and complete your enrolment process.


  • NEW STUDENTS (current students and graduates from UA de C)

    1. Go to the Language Center with your student number and your student ID.


  • RE-ENTRY STUDENTS

    1. Go to the website www.siia.uadec.mx and click on “Languages”. Enter your student number and then click on “payment form”.
    2. Print your payment form and go to the bank.
    3. IT IS NOT NECESSARY to go to the offices of the Language Center.

* BOOKS ARE MANDATORY, PHOTOCOPIES ARE NOT ALLOWED.
* THE LANGUAGE CENTER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR SELLING AND DISTRIBUTION.


ENGLISH FOR ADULTS

15 years old and above

The English program for adults consists of 10 levels (A1 – C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) as well as a TOEFL preparation course. Each level is 80 hours long.

  • SCHEDULE FOR DAILY COURSES

    From Monday to Friday, 2 hours per day:

    from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
    from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
    from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
    from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
    from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

    *During vacation periods, the first offered schedule is from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

  • SCHEDULE FOR SATURDAY COURSES

    From 9:00 am to 2:00 pm for 16 Saturdays


ENGLISH FOR TEENAGERS AND CHILDREN

The English program of teenagers consists of 8 levels. Each level is 50 hours long.

The English program for children consists of 10 levels. Each level is 50 hours long.

*During the summer course, the opening of groups is subject to the number of people enrolled.

**Enrollment: March 19th to 21th.

OTHER LANGUAGES

German | French | Italian

The program of other languages (French, German and Italian) consists of 10 levels, 40 hours long each.

Sessions are 2 and half hours long and they are offered twice a week or on Saturdays (not every language center offers this program).

    • DAYS OF CLASS MIGHT VARY ACCORDING TO THE STUDIED LEVEL.
