MISIÓN
In the School of Community Sciences of Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, Torreón Unit, we have are committed to forming professionals in Human Relations and Social Work who have an impact on the social environment to which they belong, providing their knowledge, competencies and values for the improvement of human coexistence, promoting respect for the environment. In order to achieve this, we will make use of a pedagogy based on self-learning, paradigmatic diversity and a participative ethical attitude.
VISIÓN
The School of Community Sciences is accepted by our society and has regional recognition and prestige due to the solid formation of its graduates, its high rates of degree completion as well as the accreditation of its programs by specialized organizations. It has professors with an academic and pedagogical formation, which grants the good performance of their functions and their integration into Academic Bodies. They are distinguished by the quality of their social and humanistic research, which allows their programs to have regional and national significance.

ACADEMICS
BACHELOR IN SOCIAL WORK
It is a professional who researches on the causes and effects of social problems, with a critical and innovative attitude in pursuit of solutions, with a comprehensive and humanistic focus based on respect to people, to the organization and to the socio-environmental atmosphere. BACHELOR IN HUMAN RELATIONS
It is a professional trained to design and apply techniques and models which allow to improve the efficiency of human relations in and out of organizations. This is done to coordinate the efforts of multidisciplinary teamwork with an effective leadership in order to guarantee harmonious relations. They intervene as mediators in labor-management relations.
