HISTORY REVIEW
The beginning of courses was carried out on September 19th, 1958, through a solemn inauguration presided by Dr. Ricardo Ramos y Ramos, in representation of Lic. Salvador González Lobo, President of Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila.
On January 1st, 1958, Lic. Adolfo López Mateos took the lead of the first position in the country, and the promise that he made to the population of Nueva Rosita was remained in place. It was necessary to develop the project of the whole infrastructure that the School of Mining needed to work in all its glory. The indications of the President of the country were precise and by 1960, the first stone was laid by him. The following inauguration was took place after a couple of years, in 1962. All this was celebrated by the whole state of Coahuila, and specifically by the community of the carbon region.
ACADEMICS
GEOLOGIST ENGINEER
They participate in the research, exploration, evaluation, exploitation and utilization of energy, mineral and hydrological resources. They determine environmental impact and geological risks and study the soil and subsoil for the construction of civil engineering projects. They apply, manage and develop knowledge in Earth science and solve problems related to their profession by considering basic factors of security, economy, productivity and environmental protection. MINERAL AND ENERGY RESOURCES ENGINEER
They participate in the research, exploration, evaluation, exploitation, extraction and utilization of mineral and energy resources. They have the scientific and technological knowledge to extract energy resources in an efficient and sustainable way. They assure the ecological balance of the zone of influence where a mining operation is taking place.
