MISSION
The University Extension Office constitutes a substantive function of the social participation of the university and it is, at the same time, a mean for the comprehensive formation of its students for the development of the values of solidarity and commitment to the environment and to their community. It is the conjunction of the teaching and research in favor of a social objective so that the institution can become a scientific, technical and disciplinary reference regarding the decisions that concern the society of Coahuila. This function allows to extend the benefits of culture, science and technology to the community. It allows the university to receive feedback for its teaching and research activities by valuing the relevance of its programs in its environment and it contributes to understand and solve the problems that affect social development.
VISION
In the year 2020, the University Extension Office has an efficient administrative structure which promotes programs and projects of collaboration with the society and which facilitates the management for the participation of the university’s community in the services that are offered to the vulnerable communities. We have a close and dynamic relationship with civil society organizations and with public institutions for the development of programs and projects of impact on the marginalized sector. Students, teachers and researchers participate actively in programs in which the efforts of unit offices, schools, faculties and departments of the institution are integrated.
OBJECTIVES
- To promote the comprehensive formation of students.
- To strengthen the social commitment of the university.
- To renew the integration of the university with the social sector.
- To apply research results to contribute to the solution of our state’s social problems.
PROGRAMMING
“UNIVERSITY VOICE” RADIO SHOW. 
To do cultural extension work through the promotion of live radio shows on subjects of social interest, developed by teachers, researchers and students of UA de C in order to contribute to the formation of a society which is more capable to face daily life challenges. We have recently had the presence of external guests to the university, from different departments and Institutions, which have discussed subjects from a public perspective in pursuit of social development.
“THE HUMAN UNIVERSE IN EXTENSION” RADIO SHOW. To analyze, discuss and debate, in a critical manner, subjects of current cultural interest, from the perspective of social sciences, particularly: psychoanalysis, sociology, history, anthropology, philosophy and culture.
“SCIENCE AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE” RADIO CAPSULES. 
To promote relevant scientific data for the humanity in a clear, simple and attractive way of every kind of audience. The communicated information encompasses topics such as inventions, history, culture, nutrition, customs and explanation of different events, experiences and activities.
“HEALTHY LIFE” RADIO CAPSULES To offer important information to the general population about the physical and mental health care, healthy eating habits and lifestyles, simple and with specific data on health, addictions, body care, sexuality, psychology and motivation.
“FABULOUS DAYS” RADIO CAPSULES. 
To promote the knowledge of classical fables for children through radio capsules in a morning schedule. “THE LIGHT OF THE LANTERN” RADIO CAPSULES. To promote the appreciation of the wisdom and the artistic beauty of the poetry through the recording of classical poems from famous authors in history.
